Svyatoshinskoe Lake, Pond #15😍Svyatoshinskoe Lake, Pond #15· Kyiv07.06.2026, 19:04Based on my experience from previous trips, I honestly wasn't expecting to catch anything at this lake. But this time things turned out completely different! The perch took a Mepps Aglia Fluo Chartreuse #2, and the pike perch went for a Keitech Crazy Flapper 2". Didn't think I'd actually land a pike perch - put up a solid fight! All in all, the best fishing is the kind where you don't expect to catch anything) 🎣PerchSpinning fishing241Lake Korolek😏Lake Korolek· Kyiv31.05.2026, 19:24Everything was exactly like in my previous post, started off well with perch on the same lure, and that's about it 😅 Had a few bites but they all got away That's how it goesPerchSpinning fishing91Lake Korolek😄Lake Korolek· Kyiv16.05.2026, 16:26Decided to give this lake a shot during the day for the first time this year. Didn't really expect much—last year I only came here in the mornings, from 6 to 10, and consistently pulled pike. Figured it'd be dead during the day. But the lake surprised me. First, a nice perch took my Mepps Aglia Fluo Chartreuse #2, solid start. Then I switched to a Keitech Crazy Flapper 2" Ice Chartreuse, and something serious hit. Unfortunately couldn't land it and the fish got away. Bottom line: fishing here during the day isn't just decent—it's actually really solid. Stoked with how it went, definitely coming back.PerchSpinning fishing140Steps at Sviatoshyn Lake😄Steps at Sviatoshyn Lake· Kyiv09.08.2025, 22:21Decided to spend an hour in the evening testing out a new Fish Up Tanta 1.3 with a size 12 single hook on a familiar lake. Fished from shore with classic twitching technique - short jerks with pauses. Suddenly felt a snag... or so it seemed. Turned out I'd accidentally hooked a crucian carp (or young common carp) around 700-1200g by the back or fin. Pure accident, but the feeling was real! Then came the classic fight - the fish was thrashing, I was letting line out on the drag, slowly tiring it out. Seemed like everything was under control, the carp had "given up" and was calmly heading to shore. But I was fishing from steps, which made maneuvering pretty tough. That's when the classic happened! Seeing the shore, the fish suddenly woke up and made a powerful desperate run. The size 12 single hook couldn't handle that "farewell jerk" - and my accidental catch was gone. Takeaways: • Even accidental snags give you the rush of a real fight • Steps aren't the best position for playing a fish • The last few meters are always tricky • Perch at this lake is still ignoring all my lures (tested tons of options over the last few weeks) Though word has it small watermelons are being caught here :)Crucian carpSpinning fishing261Irpin and White Stones😕Irpin and White Stones· Kyiv Oblast27.07.2025, 22:40Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing two short fishing stories right away. Unfortunately, both ended the same way — no trophies, but plenty of impressions, rain, scorching heat, and philosophical thoughts. The White Stones Story I was out at White Stones Lake a week ago. It's a paid water body where I was genuinely hoping to meet an active predator. But besides feeder anglers, rain, and mysterious splashes in the middle of the lake — I didn't see anything. I got the feeling I was the only one there after a predator. The only bite came on a Keitech Easy Shiner 2", closer to shore. From the feel of it — definitely not pike, but perch or zander. But as it often happens, it came off right at the net… which I didn't have :) The Irpin River Story near Stoyanka Today I decided to explore a new spot — the Irpin River near Stoyanka. It was my first time here, so I wandered a bit looking for a promising spot, not knowing whether I should head further along the bank. Fished from 3 PM to 7 PM — not the best hours, and it was brutal heat on top of that. I threw everything at it: twisters, crawfish, spinners, spoons — and in response just silence and the shade from the trees. The Verdict? The fish stayed quiet, but experience — I got it. Now I know a bit more about the water and about myself. How did your "fishless fishing" go?PerchSpinning fishing202Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska😕Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska· Kyiv25.07.2025, 14:46Decided to try predator fishing on Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska for the first time a few days ago. Hit the water from 12:00 to 20:00 looking for perch and pike-perch, but unfortunately only small gobies were biting. Caught and released roughly 10 small gobies. FishUp Tanta 1.5" worked best — other lures were completely ignored. As a bonus, got sunburned shoulders and a couple of good knots in my nerves :) The bottom is very rocky with a lot of shells (mussels), causing constant snags and line breaks. Using a drop weight saved the day — it threaded through the rocks better and got stuck way less often.PerchSpinning fishing190Sector Chance Lake😄Sector Chance Lake· Kyiv Oblast24.07.2025, 14:54Archive photo from May 24th. Sector Chance is a paid lake. In 4 hours, one pike bit on a Keitech crazy flapper 2", two others got away. Overall the lake is small and well-maintained, with gazebos nearby.PikeSpinning fishing324Lake Korolek😄Lake Korolek· Kyiv23.07.2025, 13:34Archive photos from May 4th this year, was out from 6 AM to noon.
