Description

Decided to give this lake a shot during the day for the first time this year. Didn't really expect much—last year I only came here in the mornings, from 6 to 10, and consistently pulled pike. Figured it'd be dead during the day. But the lake surprised me. First, a nice perch took my Mepps Aglia Fluo Chartreuse #2, solid start. Then I switched to a Keitech Crazy Flapper 2" Ice Chartreuse, and something serious hit. Unfortunately couldn't land it and the fish got away. Bottom line: fishing here during the day isn't just decent—it's actually really solid. Stoked with how it went, definitely coming back.
