Interesting spot with a notice board about the rules, apparently this is a reservoir used for fish breeding according to another sign nearby. Didn't read all the details since I was mainly after perch, just asked the guys hanging around if there was a fee for fishing. They said no, so I got to it. Nice area - rocky shore and the dam itself. Lots of perch in the rocks, I only caught medium and small ones, but I reckon there are some bigger ones too. They also mentioned there's pike and zander. Didn't even bother photographing the perch since nothing special came up, but at the end of the session I decided to try with a jig and was pretty surprised with what I caught - a channel catfish. First time catching those. That's basically why I decided to share this report. Lots of small ones, some nice mid-size fish, and one real hog that came flying in. About half a kilo total. Using a stick rod up to 2g and 0.1 line, Japanese style. Had a blast out there. Got them on what's basically a magic stick, 2.2 inches in yellow.331😏Pond at Shkarívka village· Kyiv Oblast15.06.2025, 23:09Pretty decent pond, relatively clean. There's definitely carp and crucian carp here. When I arrived, the locals gave me a really weird reception – started yelling that you can't fish with a spinning rod. Apparently they stocked the pond themselves with pike-perch and perch to eat the smaller fish. But as far as I could tell, the pond isn't private and they don't have any fishing association or anything. So I tried to explain that I release everything I catch, plus I fish with such tiny jigs that pike-perch definitely aren't my target, and perch would just be unwanted bycatch. Once I started pulling up little crucians and showed them what I was fishing with, they seemed to calm down – even looked surprised I wasn't keeping them. Anyway, I can give advice to fellow anglers, but I'd recommend float fishing just to be safe and not scare or upset anyone.)Crucian carpSpinning fishing191😍Річка Рось · Київська02.06.2025, 09:27Мормишка як завжди дає риби в кількості. Суто задля задоволення це кайф. Багато клювань, є сходи, реалізованих близько 20 рибинок за 3 години рибалки, але як для нової локації, ще й на широкій річці, результат порадував. The pumpkinseeds were especially nice, really dark ones. And there's tons of roach too, which is just endlessly frustrating because they bite all the silicone.
