Pond at Shkarívka village

Pretty decent pond, relatively clean. There's definitely carp and crucian carp here. When I arrived, the locals gave me a really weird reception – started yelling that you can't fish with a spinning rod. Apparently they stocked the pond themselves with pike-perch and perch to eat the smaller fish. But as far as I could tell, the pond isn't private and they don't have any fishing association or anything. So I tried to explain that I release everything I catch, plus I fish with such tiny jigs that pike-perch definitely aren't my target, and perch would just be unwanted bycatch. Once I started pulling up little crucians and showed them what I was fishing with, they seemed to calm down – even looked surprised I wasn't keeping them. Anyway, I can give advice to fellow anglers, but I'd recommend float fishing just to be safe and not scare or upset anyone.)
