Lake Nalanuay shows moderate bite quality (3.8/5 on average) with high variability in results. Best fished May through September using bottom rigs with earthworms, maggots, and larvae. Grass carp and crucian carp show the most consistent catches. However, the lake suffers from heavy tourist traffic, noise, and crowds, especially on weekends, which significantly reduces bite quality. Early weekday mornings and overcast evenings are most promising for productive sessions.

• Fish on weekdays at dawn or evening (until 21:00), when tourist pressure is minimal and fish are more active.
• Primary bait—earthworm for bottom fishing carp and catfish; maggots and bread also work well, especially for roach and small catfish.
• Grass carp bite better during rain and on pop-ups with boilies on bottom rig; expect catches of 1–4 kg.
• Avoid weekends and heavy tourist season—the lake often becomes overcrowded.
• Spin fishing shows weaker results—predators shut down from noise; for sport fishing use ultralight gear and proper lure selection.
