Headed out to catch some crucian carp, but the fishing turned out to be something completely different. (The location info was wrong and it's not a paid spot)
Sat with my rods for an hour with nothing but silence, so I decided to take a quick walk and cast for pike. Got two bites in 20 minutes, landed one – a little guy, released him right away. Came back to my rods and everything was still quiet. Threw out another feeder and gave it an hour. Got a bite that looked like crucian, got excited, set the hook, but it wasn't a carp at all. It was an amur! What a fight – absolutely insane, just incredible. Battled with him for 18 minutes. If I'd had a net it would've been 2 minutes, but without one you just keep trying to grab him and he dunks you completely. But man, what a rush. Weighed this beauty at 4320g – my biggest amur ever and the biggest fish I've caught period. Forgot all about the crucian carp, honestly didn't need it after that. Also pulled up a small crayfish while packing up, let it go. Found three nice birch boletes too.
It was an awesome day with a mega unexpected trophy guest. Wish you all tight lines with fish like thatGrass carp · 4,32 kgBottom fishing3510

Fished for perch on Friday and it was rough going. They wouldn't bite on anything—tried both spinners and live bait. Only managed to get them interested in the deeper water on a 0.3g lure, and even then just two perch and one ruffe. For some reason there just weren't any numbers.

Went feeder fishing again on Saturday
The fish were biting nicely as usual, just way too many small ones. Definitely released about 5 dozen of them and that's just the roach, plus a dozen roaches and 4 other fish. Still managed to land a couple of decent ones thoughAmur SleeperBottom fishing3312

Headed out for feeder fishing yesterday after the rain on Thursday
Got off to a rough start - lost my rod tip along with the whole rig on a cast, no idea how it happened. I always check everything before casting but somehow missed it. Good thing I always bring spare tips with me.
The fish are biting well, but there's a ton of small stuff. Mostly roach around palm-sized, about 15cm, so I released about 5 of them. Got a nice variety again, including some red book fish - asp. Unexpectedly caught a crayfish on maggots, and a decent-sized one too, so it crawled back home. When I was packing up in the dark, a nice bream around 300g took the bait. Released everything except for a couple of decent fat roach - the biggest was 350g.
Turned out to be a solid session considering I didn't start until midday, but way too much undersized fish.Amur SleeperBottom fishing3510

Headed out yesterday for a quick hour and a half scouting mission.
Perch are biting a bit, but pretty weak. Saw some perch chasing minnows too, but not often. Spotted a couple of dead crucian carp.
Beautiful sunset wrapped up the fishing day.PerchSpinning fishing359

Went feeder fishing and man, it was pretty tough.
Spent the first hour with absolutely nothing, and the other anglers next to me weren't doing any better either. So I switched it up and started fishing more aggressively, fishing the clock, and it paid off. By the third cast a fish showed up. Got some nice variety in the catches. What really impressed me was a bream at 535g — before that my personal best was maybe 300g. Caught some good roach at 300g, bream at 400-500g, but honestly I was just fishing for the love of it so I only photographed the first ones I caught. Late in the session when it started getting pretty dark, I had this really frustrating strike and an intense fight, and literally 8 meters away from me the line broke — didn't even get to see what it was. I'm pretty sure it was a nice big bream in the 3-4kg range, based on how it fought.
Also somewhere toward evening I hear this crazy rustling in the leaves behind me, I stand up and see snakes crawling out from everywhere into their nest — never seen anything like that in person before.
It was tough fishing, but pushing the pace got results. Watching the other anglers, they weren't catching anything at all, so I was starting to think they'd kill me since I kept pulling in fish and releasing them all 😅Amur SleeperBottom fishing219

It was a beautiful day for pike on Sunday, so we managed to get out. The spot wasn't wrong
Literally from the first cast right off the bat got some solid pike bites. Thought that'd be it after that, but nope. Two hours later another contact with the toothy one. The second pike put up a nice fight with some beautiful jumps. And there was another one around 350-400g
Fishing was 100% satisfied, had an insane time since it's been a while since we got out for pikePikeSpinning fishing4219

Part two of feeder fishing. Caught some beautiful roach like this and got a nice bonus carp that I released. The biggest roach was 470g as you can see, and the others were solid too at 300, 320g each, all roach were around 21cm, so don't think I was catching small stuff from the overall photo. Can't really call it a roach run yet, they're just starting to wake up. Pulled out a good dozen and a half roach through two weed beds and a sharp drop-off. But hey, had a blast regardless, even with the chaos overhead, that's how it goes.
Sorry for the bad overall catch photo, wasn't thinking about it when I was packing up in the dark.
Fishing was absolutely great - the weather and the bite both 😉Crucian carpBottom fishing3014

Got out yesterday for some feeder fishing after not going for ages. This is part one since all the photos wouldn't fit here (part two is gonna be fire 🔥🔥)
Got there as early as I could, was at the spot by 6:50, but didn't cast until about 7:15 and stayed until sunset. Weather was pretty decent, even got a bit of a tan.
Fishing was solid too. Early on the current was really strong, 110g feeders were going down easy but the fish were biting well. Once they started releasing water, the bite slowed down. Ended up catching 7 different species over the session, nice variety. Also had some ruffe and asp but they're not on my list so I'm leaving them out. Most of it was small stuff, released a bunch to grow up. Surprisingly the bite died completely before dark and stayed dead for like an hour and a half, not a single bite. Pretty shocked honestly, usually it's the other way around and you can't keep up.
That's about it. Part two tomorrow, and that's where it gets really interesting 😁Amur SleeperBottom fishing2612

Headed out in the evening for a quick scout run, just about 2 hours before sunset.
Managed to land 3 perch and scored a bonus crucian carp. The carp took it straight in the mouth with a solid bite. For some reason the perch still aren't biting great, only got 5 hits and that's it.
