Description

What started as a scouting session turned into trophy fishing. I got to the water around 10 AM. The first hour was completely dead. A small pike was the first to bite right off the cast, but I released it immediately. After walking around a bit, I picked up several perch bites. Got a mix of small perch and some nice chunky ones. At one spot, right off the cast, this beauty gave me a powerful hit. She put up a great fight with some impressive acrobatics. When I was bringing her to shore, I noticed something sticking out of her mouth. And right at my feet, she spit out a crucian carp. The carp was about 400g and already half-digested. But despite having such a huge fish in her mouth, she still took my lure. As you can see, the pike weighed 3.555 kg. That's my new personal best for pike, literally 130g heavier than my previous record. The emotions are off the charts, this fish gave me incredible memories. The scouting mission turned out perfect, wishing all anglers such success.
