Found this secret spot that even the fish don't know about and cast my lines. First thing that hit was a red-finned fish about the size of a dried anchovy — the cats'll love it. Soon as I tossed it in the keep net, my float disappears again. I give it a yank and boom, a carp! 🤩 Threw it in the net to show the girlfriend (okay, mostly to brag) when she gets here. Got another red-fin after that, nothing else serious came along but I'm grateful anyway. Showed off my carp and sent it back to where it came from. I'll be back in like 5 years to catch an even bigger one, but for now let it live.CarpFloat fishing141😏Lake Ozerna20.09.2026, 20:40A girl told me "you should see the carp they catch at Ozerna!" so we went to check it out. We found a good spot and fished for 2 hours, quiet mostly, just the feeder rod twitching every 5 minutes. Nerves got to me and I set the hook on a small crucian carp. Then nothing, so we moved spots. The float rod was working like it should, caught some roach and 2 perch (unfortunately one slipped out of my hands when I was unhooking it and got away). Same deal on the bottom rods, little nibbles every 5 minutes but nothing serious. Stuck it out till almost dark and headed home. Started off with a tiny perch on the float right at the beginning, and near the end I'm pretty sure I landed a crucian carp. First time catching one, first time seeing one too, so I could be wrong about the ID. The regular carp didn't show up, but hey, I got another species checked off the list on my phone notes. Planning to hit the river again next time instead of the pond — it's been disappointing me lately. Brought back memories of the old days with the rod and line. Tried spinning too but the river's full of snags so I ditched that pretty quick. Fish were biting non-stop, constantly going at it but kept missing the hook. Then a nice crucian carp hit — I only stepped away from the rods for 5 seconds and my float was gone. Got all 3 rigs hooked up but managed to land him anyway.
