Seversky Donets

Really stoked, woke up at 4:00 AM, headed out to Zmiyivski cliffs, and we were in the boat by 6:00. Motored out to a wide stretch and the bites started coming. First from under the bank, then in the middle of the river where there used to be islands but now it's just meter deep with weeds where they hide. Ended up landing six fish total—four big ones, one medium, and one small. Had three more bites from small perch around 10 cm but they got away. All the landed fish and bites came on Flagman Hitomi 1.5 in UV color. Pretty impressed honestly, this is my first time on this section of the river, and I've never managed more than three perch on the Seversky before. This one's a trophy for this river—not my biggest perch overall, but definitely the biggest and feistiest one I've caught here. Without a boat though, you're not doing much—there's almost no access from the bank, and when there is, the fish are in the middle. Nine bites total, landed six. Have a good one everyone, please release your fish.
