Katerynivskyi Quarry (Metalurg Recreation Area)

Got to the water early in the morning, and at first I was pretty disappointed — most of the pond was choked with algae. But I stuck with it and kept working different baits across the water. After I switched to a Jaxon spinner, I managed to hook into a pike right under the little bridge. Put up a solid fight, too — she kept heading back toward the bank and into the reeds and under the bridge. After a long battle, I finally got her onto shore. Ended up with a 1.83 kg pike — my first trophy of 2026!
