Got to the spot at 06:00. Fished with feeder rigs and bottom setups. Used homemade porridge with hemp seeds as bait. Today worms, maggots, and corn worked best. The weather put the fish down, bite was tough. Managed one decent, hefty crucian carp from the catch, otherwise kept getting small stuff in my palm — roach and small bream, and one perch showed up. As evening came the sky totally clouded over and a heavy downpour started, so had to pack it in and head out. The drive out was intense, but it was good for the soul, got some fresh air in.
