First night out and already incredible success. The first photo shows a rare white-eyed bream trophy at 500 grams—you don't see these often since they grow slow and take 9-10 years to reach this size. Also landed a personal record common bream at almost 400 grams, and not just one either. Got some young pike and perch on live bait during the night, plus had a bream take near the shore 😔 Unfortunately it hooked up together with a nice bream and when I set the hook in different directions it got away. The fish were picky, had to switch up my baits and mess with different ratios of maggots and foam. Started getting good bites on worm, which means warm weather's coming)) All told, pulled in 3.5kg for the night, released some of it. Personally, I was only getting takes on a 55-60cm leader—anything shorter or longer and the bites would stop
