The name of the water
Southern Bug
Description
Hey everyone! Headed out fishing this morning at 7 AM. It was -20 degrees out there, but the forecast promised -2 by afternoon (and yeah, that's pretty much how it went after 11). We drove out to one of the reservoirs on the Southern Bug, hoping to find and catch some pike on jigs. The ice was almost half a meter thick, but the drill and a cordless screwdriver handled it no problem. The camera, though — couldn't spot a single fish 🤷♂️. We searched for over two hours, drilled more than a hundred holes in different areas, but didn't see anything. Decided to move to another spot where we finally spotted a zander and a bream, gave it a shot but no luck. There were a couple of local guys there fishing jigs, and they said the fish have been inactive for two weeks already. Before that though, they were catching half-kilo perch and bigger. We spent another two or three hours searching with nothing to show for it. So we headed to some tried-and-true spots closer to home and made the right call — caught some bream over two hours, plus a few perch, some small zander, and a ruff in the mix. All the best!!!
