Little Lake
Description
Headed out to the little lake hoping to get on the ice already. But no dice—even though the lake's super small, you can see there are open water patches. Ice is running 2 to 3.5-4cm thick, plus another 2cm or so of packed wet snow on top. So I fished for about 15 minutes along the shore where there's at least some decent depth. Got 1 bite from a perch. I reckon by January 1st you should be able to get on the ice in these parts. I've got some spots where I know for sure it's safe to go, but I can't get out there right now. Don't mess with thin ice, gotta wait a bit longer—it's really tempting but seriously risky.
