Headed out to the river at 1 PM and in just under two and a half hours landed a few small pike perch and one perch. The pike started biting after 3:30 PM. First bite was on a crankbait with a steady retrieve, and it came without a real strike—the line just moved to the side 🤷‍♂️. Ended up landing a pike at 1.05 kg. Then had a few more bites from mystery fish, got a decent perch, and just before sunset managed to convince another beauty weighing 1.84 kg. And it took three tries—the first two were missed bites, then on the third cast the pike hammered it so hard I couldn't get it out of the water. Had to do some surgery on it back home. By the way, I've noticed more than once that pike bite more often when you work the lure against the current. Had a great time fishing, all the fish except the bigger pike made it back to the water.
