Crankbaits vs Micro Jigs Fishing therapy😉 This fishing session turned out to be something special. First of all – I met up with my buddy – Maxim Dyachek, a predatory fish expert at the Ibis shop. We'd been meaning to fish together for a while in the spot where we spent our childhood. Back then we didn't know each other, but we both caught fish pretty well. Each of us had our own proven spots, our own fishing techniques and secrets when it came to lures, retrieves and locations. Same body of water, but such different takes on fishing there. And today, in a friendly vibe, we ran this fishing session: shot what I think is an interesting film that'll be dropping soon on my YouTube channel – DShFishing. Maxim went with micro jigs and various small baits. I mostly fished with 110 crankbaits. We set up a friendly battle, so to speak)) Fished from 10:00 to 17:00 Worked well for me: ZipBaits Orbit 110 510R, and also OSP Varuna 110 SF The first crankbait brought me two pike-perch and something big. Unfortunately, I barely managed to hold it, and…the fish got away, leaving me with a huge scale on the hook as a souvenir. The second crankbait brought me a small pike, barely bigger than the lure…) At the end I tried some Jackson Metal Stay Fall 10.5g, and managed to convince a small pike-perch. My setup: Rod – St.Croix Legend Elite ES70MHF2 3/8-3/4 10.5 - 21.5 Reel – Daiwa Prorex 4000LT Line – Daiwa Moretan 1.2 Leader – Daiwa Prorex TITANIUM WIRE LEADER 30 cm 12kg Max's setup: Rod – Favorite Impulse TZ NEW IMPTZ-732L-S 2.20m 2-10g Ex-Fast Line – ygk x4 upgrade #0.4 Select Easy Shad 3" Jig head Jigger Tail spinner Savage Gear Fat Tail Spin Tail spinner Select Turbo-II Maxim showed solid results. He was fishing Easy Shad 3, 2g jig head. Most bites came in the water column. Steady retrieve. Both pike-perch and small pike bit. Also, Maxim managed to get two pike on tail spinners. In this battle, friendship definitely won, but…to be honest, the victory went to Maxim Dyachek! All the fish were photographed and released, but what we took with us – those were the great moments that'll never happen again!
