It weighed 6,200. About an hour after the second round of feeding, this massive carp struck. So far, it's the biggest fish I've ever caught. After landing it, I realized how important every little detail is. Finding the right feeding spot (which was tough here because of the deep silt, but I managed to find a sandy patch), the size of the bait, what kind of bait to use, and if you forget to set the bite alarm you're left without a rod and indicator, the right feed mix, the right flavor additive and all that. So after this session I want to get even more into carp fishing. We came out to fish for carp but by the end of the day figured we needed to at least pull some crucian carp, so we reeled in the rods and re-rigged everything. Tried a bunch of different baits but garlic dough is that timeless classic that always works, we kept at it until we had to switch on the flashlights. All in all we caught around 45 fish, the smaller crucians around 200 grams we gave to our buddy, and the bigger ones around 600 grams we took home.
