😏Irpin River, lock, dam.· Kyiv Oblast02.06.2026, 08:30First day of summer, got away from the family to chase some pike and relax. Didn't catch anything, but at least got away from work. Tried a ton of different rigs but couldn't log everything I was fishing with in the app functions (spinners, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, soft plastics, topwater — there's a red crankbait in the photo that floats on the surface and makes bubbles with its tail, pretty interesting lure). Tried everything—spoons, crankbaits (topwater and subsurface), metal spinners, and spinners. But they hit on the old lures (metal spoon). Got 2 bites, released one that we got on camera, and the other one bit from the other side so it didn't hook. So two bites total. If I'd been fishing, I think I wouldn't have let it go, but Dad did 😅😅. Even though it was hot and I got sunburned on my arms, turns out pike bite even in the heat + we also got to see them swimming underwater. Even with polarized glasses on, you could see tons of pike. Caught 4 pike and had 2 that got away, ended up keeping one nice one and the rest were small. Took a couple home with me. Was fishing with spinners.
