So my ultralight setup was dialed in—1g jig head with a 1.8" Polaris. Caught a pike in the morning reeds, must've been a kilo, dragged it to shore and it just whipped its tail and got away... but man, what a rush 😍. After that had plenty of perch, some small pike-perch too, and finished with a nice sunfish. Tons of anglers out there, I'm already on the lake by 5:00 and more than half the spots are taken. By 6 in the morning the late sleepers show up and try to squeeze in between everyone else. As for the actual fishing: the bite was pretty slow, didn't manage to catch any carp, but I did land some decent-sized perch here and there.BleakBottom fishing60
