Дамба розташована на річці Казенний Торець у районі Ясногірки. Це звичайна річкова ділянка з регульованим рівнем води. Вище дамби вода більш спокійна, нижче присутня течія та ділянки із зворотною водою. Береги місцями зручні для риболовлі, місцями зарослі або з обмеженим підходом до води. Дно нерівномірне: є замулені ділянки, тверді точки та глибші місця ближче до дамби. Водойма використовується місцевими рибалками, спеціальної інфраструктури немає. Кому підійде водойма: для звичайної риболовлі на фідер, поплавок або спінінг. Місце більше підходить для спокійної риболовлі.
