9/10

A reliable commercial lake with consistent, active pike bites and good chances of 3–4 kg trophies, especially in warm months.

Lake Trofeine is a popular commercial fishery that consistently delivers solid results on pike with spinning gear. 47 reports show an average rating of 4.5/5 with mostly positive feedback on fish activity and overall experience. Trophy pike of 3–4 kg are caught regularly, especially May–June. However, results vary considerably: some anglers catch 25–30 pike in a day, while others take only 2–4 fish in 6–7 hours depending on weather, water pressure, and technique. Spinning with crankbaits, soft plastics, and jigs shows the best results.

Best season

May–June and early spring (March–April); bites are most active during water opening and before major weather shifts.

Best target fish

Pike (primary species); also perch, zander, and carp in smaller numbers; rare reports of sterlet and catfish.

Bring spinning gear with crankbaits and 3–3.75 inch soft plastic lures—both show consistent results in reports.
Fish early mornings (from 7 AM) and before major weather changes—bites are most active during these windows.
Coordinate your visit with lake management (recommended)—this maintains fish quality and preserves the fishery.
Prepare for variability: one day may yield 20+ pike, the next only 2–4. Water conditions, weather, and fish activity change rapidly.

Best trophies

Most reports contain minimal details on technique, lures, and conditions (mostly emojis and brief comments). High ratings appear partly based on emotional satisfaction rather than clear metrics. Data spans the whole year but show strong frequency in May–June; winter and fall reports are scarcer. Some exceptionally large catches (24–30 fish per day) may be outliers; typical days are likely less spectacular.
