Amber Warm Canal is a popular venue for feeder fishing for coarse fish in winter when large concentrations move in. Bottom fishing with maggots and corn often yields 10–30 kg per session, especially on weekday mornings at dawn. Spinning for perch and pike-perch is possible but results are inconsistent and heavily dependent on location, time of day, and season. Weekends see crowding which negatively impacts results. Access fees (170–300 UAH) and the need to arrive early to secure a swim are practical considerations.

• Arrive at dawn (5:00–6:00 AM) on weekdays to claim a good swim and avoid crowds
• During cold months (December–February) use bottom fishing with maggots and corn, feeder; this is the most reliable method
• Spinning for perch is most consistent November–December; white and flesh-colored jigs preferred; even small 1–1.5 gram weights work
• If spinning, move between swims if you get no action in the first 30–60 minutes—bites tend to be localized
• Check local regulations and fines; patrols operate some days
