Shevchenko Lake shows inconsistent fishing with moderate fish activity. Spinning for predators (perch, pike, zander) produces results mainly in autumn, with occasional stretches of several good days in a row. Float fishing for carp and crucian carp is possible but often disappointing even after long sessions. Weather conditions are critical — poor season or bad weather can nullify an entire trip. Trophy fish (zander 1.2 kg, pike 2.3 kg, crucian carp over 1 kg) occur but are not reliable.

• Focus on spinning small to medium perch from September through November — this is the period of most consistent bites
• If targeting zander, try September and early autumn; pay attention to lures in purple-yellow colors
• Don't expect active carp fishing even with good groundbait — reports show frequent blank sessions
• Come prepared with multiple tactics (spinning, float, feeder) and switch based on conditions and fish activity
• Check the weather forecast — calm days give 3–5 points, storms often result in 0–1 point even in good season
