Archive. Spring 2026🎣 Headed out to the Desna one spring looking for pike. Had a few contacts with those toothy guys, but honestly — the real thrills came from the beautiful asp. Checking my favorite spots, I noticed the water was just boiling at one of them. Immediately knew who was running the show 😄 Only had soft plastics with me, but that's no problem at all this time of year — it's all about presenting the bait right. On the hook: 3" worm tail, 6 gram weight. Cast toward the fish's exit route, fast retrieve in the upper layers — and a powerful bite literally on the first few cranks of the reel. And there's nothing quite like fishing these beauties on a light rod. Every asp turns into a little battle 😁🎣
