First fishing trip in ages, and we made a night of it Right from the start things didn't go to plan — all our usual spots were taken. So we didn't get out here until around 19:00, only to find it packed with other anglers and day-trippers. We set up, got some bait in the water, and slowly things started happening. A few crucians came first, then about an hour of nothing. Then a couple of breams and silence again. Around midnight my first — and so far only — bream finally showed up. The weather went downhill overnight and killed the fishing, so we had to pick it back up in the morning. From 4:00 to 10:00 we landed a few decent roaches and crucians. Not the most productive session, but after such a long break it was exactly what I needed
