Much better today Finally broke in and caught fish right away on 0.15mm titanium tippet, really happy with it — didn't snap once the whole session, so now I'm not worried about pike showing up and cutting me off. Had a good pike rise to the popper but missed it Also finally worked the walkers (Tavada and Select), it was awesome fishing for perch in the shallows I'll say it again — Teteriv and similar rivers like it are really interesting for fishing. You gotta think, hide, read the water, and yeah the fish aren't as abundant or big as elsewhere but they give way more adrenaline than just standing on some lake mindlessly casting IMO As always dirty and thorny as hell, but I love it. You wouldn't call this relaxation, but your soul definitely gets some rest. Got about 15 fish total. The chub shut its mouth even though I saw a few decent ones Also spotted a roe deer, second day in a row — guess it's so hot they're walking the rivers...
