Irpin River

Fished here on July 25, 26, and today (August 3). Got only 3 perch total over these three days, one per day. Saw plenty of them in the water but they barely showed interest in my baits. Tried everything I had: all my soft plastics, spinners, spoons, a wobbler I found in an old bag of my grandfather's. Also spotted some chub, one was around 2kg. They didn't bite my lures either. Couple of pike, one was also about 2kg. Same situation as with the chub. Saw a school of nice carp today, and in previous days spotted some solid ones around 700g. Overall there aren't many comfortable spots on the bank because the water level dropped about a meter. Can't get down to the water—there's ankle-deep mud (tested it myself). Lots of areas overgrown with water lilies, fallen trees everywhere, and trees hanging over the water that get in the way of casting. The only thing that saved today was finding a stick with my broken lures on it and picking up a Flagman Viratta 9g spinner on the bank.
