Today's fishing at City Lake was absolutely perfect 💯. The perch were super active from early morning — managed to land 6 nice humpbacks. And to top it off, a pleasant bonus in the form of a decent pike perch. Fished with a spinning rod on soft plastics, using classic step-by-step retrieval with long pauses. Most of the bites came during the pauses when the lure was lying near the bottom. The perch were hitting hard and confident, and the pike perch gave a solid strike and some adrenaline rush during the fight. It turned out to be just an amazing day: great weather, active fish, and tons of positive vibes. This is exactly why you keep coming back to the water again and again. 🎣🐟
