My hunch about perch in Ivachiv paid off)) Saturday evening I drove out for a quick 2-hour scout, and by Sunday 5:45 AM I was already there. Brought light and ultralight gear, started from the dam. Not much action on the dam itself, but once I moved to the other bank (the lake side) the perch were all over it)) They were hitting minnows mostly, and my go-to was keitech Swing impact in green pumpkin. Around 10 AM a buddy showed up, we got a boat and headed to that bank. The perch were biting actively from the boat too. Overall I'm satisfied, cleared my head, and caught some fish. On the downside - that evening I discovered over 15 bites from some mystery midges, and this despite wearing closed clothing. Perch demands sacrifice 😁😁
