Lakes near the residential complex

Had an awesome fishing session from early morning till noon. Started by catching a few small pike at one of the lakes, though they were basically sprats in size, and we got kicked out by some locals claiming they had their own lake association and you could only fish with a float and a permit, plus spinning was only allowed for two weeks in the fall for pike season (who needs pike that small anyway). Everyone's chill about us catch-and-release, and even if we landed a big carp on a size 10 or 12 single hook it wouldn't hurt it. Seems like people don't even know these associations are banned in Ukraine, plus there are signs saying "No Fishing" but apparently that doesn't apply to floats)) So after they booted us out, we met up with some friends and headed to the biggest lake. Caught a few perch and crucian carp there, but the size was pretty typical for this place—absolutely terrible. But in the end my buddy caught the fish of the day on my setup—a nice perch around 200 grams. After that we decided to hit that little lake one more time where we got kicked out in the morning and caught one "sprat" and a tiny carp, all released. Then they gave us the speech about the association again, so we decided to pack it in and call it a day. Not bad, not bad!
