A little today's fishing and humor for you Headed out at 18:00 to fish, caught some before the rain, during it and after, spent the first hour on a jig, the bites were sluggish, before the rain small perch would peck at the hook now and then, once the rain started the fish got a bit more active, bites became more frequent, on one of the bites a nice crucian carp grabbed the jig hook, which unfortunately broke the jig off on a snag — that was my last one, so I decided to switch up my tackle for the rest of the session, tied a 0.5g cheburashka directly to the line, and put a Lucky John lure on the hook, can't quite remember the exact model name since I bought it last year, but by its shape it kinda looks like a sperm cell, so that's what I'm calling it from now on. This lure hasn't brought a single bite since I got it, but I figured I'd give it another shot, and boy was I right, this thing absolutely shined on an aggressive retrieve, caught around 20 perch as a result, besides perch on this lure with a slow retrieve and long pauses a freshwater snail and a small frog also went for it, and near the end of the session almost at my feet a pretty decent pike — looked like about 300 grams — went for the sperm cell, but it mostly missed and bit the lure clean off at the hook. So here's what I'm taking away from today's fishing: "The Lucky John sperm cell catches everything, from snails and frogs all the way up to actual fish"🤣🤣🤣
