Threw out the new Flagman Bug 10g tail spinner in gold first thing. Thing flies like a dream, works instantly. Got nailed right away and pulled the first pike to shore! Gold in the twilight did the trick perfectly. But on the next cast I snagged hard on rocks: pulled too hard and snapped the lure clean off. Sucks, only got two casts in, but that lure's definitely a keeper. Switched to soft plastics. Found the right structure, got a couple more solid bites, but couldn't land them—the fish were being too careful, just mouthing it. Wind picked up something fierce toward evening, lost bottom contact completely, and I couldn't feel the weight anymore. No point fighting the weather, so I packed it in and headed home.
