Third time out saltwater fishing, found a deep spot without crowds in the sea. Didn't know what to expect so I mostly grabbed some small acidic lures around 1.6-2 inches. My nephew wanted to learn how to fish, so I was happy to show him what I've got)) Overall the area has pretty shallow water if you're fishing from shore, plus there's people in the water, so it's hard to pick where to cast to reach good spots—you really need a weekday and a car)) First attempts were some hits near sunset and a couple missed hookups, then on the third cast we actually landed a couple scorpionfish)) Had a big bite on something, probably an octopus that ended up grabbing a rock, I pulled it in but the hook came back bent. Pretty interesting stuff and there's a TON of nuances to saltwater fishing.
