Desna Bay

Today's fishing turned out to be really interesting. From the start, I planned to check how active the fish were with a Mepps spinner, and on my fifth cast I got a powerful bite right near the shore. It was a pike! After that things went completely quiet, even though I switched spots right away. The fish weren't responding to soft plastics at all, so I decided to try a spinner for asp. After a long stretch of casting, I suddenly snagged something really heavy. At first I thought it was just a regular snag, and I started hand-lining it in. And just as it was coming up to my feet — boom — a big bream, and a seriously solid one at that! To be honest, I was shocked at how passive it acted even though it was hooked on the back. Once I realized it was a fish, I started pulling harder, but literally a meter from shore it got away… But overall I'm happy with the session. The fish are slowly coming to life and getting more active. Thanks to everyone who read all the way through 🙂
