Went out for an hour to cast some spinners and wouldn't you know it, got some action :)
only switched spots since there weren't any bites where I was, and time was running short - and then boom, one strike, second one - after a couple more casts, I thought he got away, but nope, third time's the charm and he was on the hook. Set the hook nice and pulled up a beauty! The local cat showed up out of nowhere - kept asking for the fish, but I ended up releasing the perch back into the river and headed home happy)
