Great fishing session, plenty of small pike-perch, had a few takes, but still got some solid results. I wanted to show photos of a pike-perch that ate a roach and how big the roach was – I think that answers the question about which size soft plastic is better: 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 inches. When they're feeding hard, size doesn't really matter. Today the Keitech Shad Impact 4 AYU slug worked perfectly – it's one of those lures that gets even passive pike-perch to bite. Really happy with the session, got some nice shots of all the pike-perch! Water temperature in spring is super important. I came when it was 7 degrees – nothing. Came back when it was 11 degrees and they were actively biting.
