Hey everyone! Even though we've had consistently brutal cold with temps never rising above -10, there are some massive open water sections in the main channel and the ice is really treacherous (🚨thin ice just two centimeters thick was covered in !!!dry white snow!!! at 17 meters deep with the Dnieper current 😱😱😱)!!! Be careful on the ice, always carry an auger—it's not just a helpful tool, it's as essential as air when ice fishing! Yesterday I learned a lesson that could've been my last! Overall I managed to land all the bites but there weren't many and the keepers were still basically juveniles... The scud (amphipod) really came through though. 🇺🇦 Peace to all and take care of yourselves! NHNL
