Got myself a boat, so the wife and I decided to break her in. And of course we had to bring our spinning rods along. We were out all day, caught a few small pike during that time, around 600 grams each. Nothing special really. By evening it was getting dark, we were already planning to head home. And then the wife gets a snag... She jerked a few times, nothing doing, it just sits there dead. Like for about 30 seconds. Then it takes off. The blubird lure twisted up into a pretzel, maybe 7 grams. Wife tells me, grab it and pull, I can't handle this. Had to give her a hand. But it wasn't easy. The pike gave us several head shakes, thought the lure was gonna break. 10 minutes of fighting, and I finally managed to subdue her. She weighed 2,700 grams. Trophy goes to the wife )))
