Another two-hour session🦾
Headed out again this afternoon. Was out there for about 2 hours)
At first it felt like I was casting into a puddle with no fish in it!
Nothing wanted to bite😭
Then I thought, screw it, gotta shake things up. Started throwing some crazy fast retrieves with different acidic baits, chaotically in all directions! And I put a hoofprint on a white double with a black back (Golden Catch brand by the way) super sharp hooks!
On the 3rd cast no hook set, kept throwing for another 10 mins and finally the long-awaited bite — fish came in at 2.3 kg)
Took the fish since I wanted some herring for pickling🥰
(Already marinating)🤣
That's how it goes, pike are super passive, gotta find the right approach for a long time🗽
