Description
Today's fishing was identical to yesterday's – two pike strikes yesterday and minus two tails today. Decided to try light tackle, fish were pretty inactive. Had two bites, almost landed one – the fish was practically at my feet but the line couldn't handle the size. When that snag came alive and I lifted it, I absolutely lost it – had the drag set for perch but this pike ripped off with a lure in its mouth and the leader still attached 😢 One of the biggest fish all season and it got away again. First the hook gives, then the line. Anyway, learned a lesson for next time – gotta bring a net for ultralight fishing. Tight lines everyone!!!
