Buzhok and Obvidnyi Canal
Description
Headed out to the Canal early morning with a buddy to hunt pike, decided to go with soft plastics on jig heads for today's session. Went through a bunch of baits—UpStream and Keitech—but couldn't get any bites. Had some Perchik stuff in the mix too, specifically their Fish Tail in 3.3 inches (UV color). That Perchik lure is what finally got me some pike action today, though I did have about 3 missed smaller pike. During the session I spotted a defect on my spinning rod—2 eyes aren't lined up straight with the rest (Azura Kenshin rod, 2-12g test)(pic 4). We moved on to fish the Buzhok river after that, where we landed a few zander and perch.
