The Breach

Showed up at the pond around 3:30 pm, walked around half the lake but nothing doing. Water was pretty murky so I switched to darker plastics. Hit two spots and got my first bite right away — a pike on the hook. Then nothing for about 30 minutes, so I moved to deeper water and caught a small pike, let it go. After that another bite, ripped my plastic clean off. Put on a new one, cast again and boom, another little pike. Released it and cast back out and got bit again. Tried to land it but lost it. Moved on and had a couple more bites, managed to land two perch. Had some decent action after that but couldn't convert. Heading back home I made one last cast and picked up another pike.
