Buzhok and Obvidnyi Canal

Headed out early morning for an hour or two on the Obvidnyi Canal, decided to test out some heavy lures today to avoid overloading the Azura Kenshin, which is rated 2-12g, so I pulled out a casting combo that came to me from China last year (cost me around 400-500 hrn). Ended up catching a nice pike, and had another pike around 1.5kg get away. After some fishing we took a break, then around 1 PM headed back to the water, this time we went to the Buzhok River. Once there I decided to switch tactics and moved to jigging, and the first fish on the hook was a perch with a caddy, overall in a few hours of jigging I caught around 20-30 small perch and one sander. A small pike also got tempted by the jig, weighing around 150-200g, but unfortunately being just 1-2m from shore it decided to cut through my 0.12 fluorocarbon leader. Today's fishing both pleased me with the variety of fish and surprised me with the unexpected pike bite on the jig.
