Spent a whole week prepping for fishing, had big plans — full Saturday with the boat on the Dniester chasing pike and zander.
Plans deserved 12 points - actual results got a 2️⃣❗️
The water's playing games again, the feeder streams dried up😕 ended up with 2 strings of 50 grams each.
Despite the previous letdown on predators, we recharged and headed to Pasichna on Sunday. This pond saved my weekend!!! Pike, perch, fishing paradise! The key is not giving up and finding that fish!
Pike were hitting on silicone — Fusion 2 inch, mint color, by Upstream. That shade worked great this year, also had success with mint and turquoise silicone on this water.
Meanwhile, the perch, sport-sized, strikes at anything it sees, whether it's a lure as big as itself or micro stuff, especially where they bunch up near the factory under lone reed clusters…
