The name of the water
Tuusulanjärvi
Description
Fishing started this afternoon after the rain passed. The fish weren't active at first — we had an aggressive pike chasing smaller fish but wouldn't bite. After about an hour and a half, we finally got our first strike on a pike, but unfortunately no hook-up. Then nothing for a long time — no perch, no pike, the fish just weren't responding anywhere. Then we switched lures and someone mentioned that a 4-inch motor oil colored larva works great here. We didn't have that exact size, but we had a 2.5-inch purple one, and on the first cast after a couple twitches we got a solid hit and landed it! The fish was on, and then things got crazy — it ran into the reeds so I had to strip down and wade in after it to pull it out of the vegetation. But hey, what won't you do for a good bite and a solid fish? Got another strike from that spot but it was a miss. Then another decent hit but we lost the tail on a swing with a lemon-colored swimbait — pike love those and we're almost out 😅
It was a great session even though the fish were passive. Managed to land one at 45 cm and there's more out there. Saving some for tomorrow, maybe we'll get lucky again.
Thanks everyone for the support, tight lines!!!!!
