Description
Went out jigging on the river yesterday. Got a pike bite right away and fought it for about ten seconds but couldn't land it. No net, steep bank, and 0.08mm line didn't help either.
Then had some decent action on roach, perch, and rudd until I moved spots and had my first ever encounter with a "snag coming alive." Near the end of the session I put a jig in UV, started working the area and got nothing, so I was thinking about changing location or bait when I snagged something. But literally right after that the "snag" came to life and bolted like a torpedo away from the bank toward the lily pads with my drag singing. Of course the line snapped. Walked away with some killer adrenaline and no idea what the hell that fish actually was.
