Description
Weather was top notch. Fished from 11:00 to 17:00. The fish are starting to wake up a bit, and the lake is getting weedy. Caught 3 keepers and had 4 missed strikes. The pike wanted pauses of 2-4 seconds and lures in the 75-90mm range. Didn't throw any soft plastics or metal. Had success with Bearking Realis 85SP Mat Tiger (knockoff of Duo Realis Jerkbait 85SP) and Strike Pro Glider 90SP (knockoff of Jackall Tiny Magalon 88), both solid lures for the price. Unfortunately couldn't land a pike over a kilo — the lake's full of small pike, but the bigger ones are tough to catch.
