Headed out today looking for asp, but besides a few bites and some hits on a walker, didn't have much luck. Then two guys we ran into on our way back to the car tipped us off that they'd seen an active asp a bit further down, so we checked it out. Ended up landing my first asp on a spoon lure – that fish made the whole day! The pay lake didn't do us any favors though, just netted some random carp and a couple pike bites, but that asp was all we needed. NHHL to all!
