Description
Spring and the start of spinning season, but unfortunately this morning's frost threw a wrench in today's fishing – almost all the open water got covered with thin ice. But there were a few spots where I could fish a bit and try out some new lures I picked up recently from Keitech – specifically the Hyper Spider. Got one cautious bite on that bait but didn't land it. Was looking for both perch and pike, but it seems the timing's not quite right yet. But they should start biting soon and heading into deeper water as the coarse fish activity picks up.
