Today was a pretty solid winter fishing session with tons of great vibes and impressions. I wasn't really into this kind of fishing before, but today showed me what ice fishing is really about — the feeling of landing fish and getting that first winter trophy was absolutely amazing. Not a huge fish, just a 350g catch, nothing crazy compared to what I've landed before, but the rush and emotions from bringing it up through the ice were incredible. Managed to catch 7 decent roach and 3 perch. Found them in one spot at about 1.5 meters deep — checked 3 meters with nothing there. The fish were biting every 15-30 minutes in small groups. Set up some tip-ups for pike but didn't get any action on those. All in all, I'd call it a successful day — didn't catch a huge haul, but the experience and feelings I got were unforgettable 😍
